Mientras Diego Garavito (AeroCat Cycling Team) y Carlos Vargas (Hotel SJC/Mel Johnnys/SubaruGF) se retiraron de la Annual Joe Martin Stage Race, la vallecaucana Mónica Méndez (Indercas) pudo hacer un importante final de carrera en territorio de Estados Unidos.

El cubano Luís Romero (Jamis-Sutter) ganó en la categoría Men Pro 1 y la local Alison Powers (USA Team Vera Bradley Foundation) en la Pro Women 1,2.
